Only six days left to vote in D Magazine’s “Best of Big D” Shopping category. Oak Cliff has some fine representation this year by the following merchants:
Bishop Street Market for Best Gift Shop in Dallas
Green Pet for Best Pet Store in Dallas
Oak Cliff Bicycle Company for Best Bicycle Shop in Dallas
Zola’s Everday Vintage for Best Vintage Clothing Store in Dallas
F is for Frank (OC Resident Shoshannah Frank) for Best jewelry designer in Dallas
UPDATE We overlooked Top Ten Records for Best Record Store. Special thanks to Diana for noting our oversight.
Don’t forget about Top Ten Records. It is on the list for best record store. It too is in Oak Cliff just not in Bishop Arts. It seems the only information listed on this website concerns the Bishop Arts District. I think the website should be changed to Go Bishop Arts District instead of Go Oak Cliff. There are other retail stores, restaurants etc. located outside of the Bishop Arts District but still in Oak Cliff.
Our mistake! And thanks for correcting us.
FWIW, Two of the other nominees we listed (OCBC, and F is For Frank) are both outside of the Bishop Arts District as well.
Also, we ran a story on the Texas Theatre prior to this…also outside of Bishop Arts.
