The newest restaurant/ hot spot to hit the Cliff is finally ready for business! Nova will open tonight for you to get your first peek on what they’ve been up to since Chef/ Owner Kelly Hightower closed Kavala to transform the space into this self-described bike-friendly gastropub.
We got a look inside yesterday with our friend Ange Fitzgerald who took these great pics for us.
Feast your eyes and head over tonight for a cold drink or hot bite.

Get them to update their website and maybe I’ll stop by!
That beer better be cold, it’s been a loooooong wait
I’m sure you meant PEEK instead of PEAK. PEEK is to catch a glimpse of something. PEAK is a summit or an antifreeze. Words that sound alike but have different spellings and meanings are known as heterographs. Remember, PEEK is for sight; PEAK is for mountains.
I can’t view the Flickr set but can you tell me what makes Nova so bike friendly? I’m curious as I don’t remember much about Kavala having only visited twice (and driving there).
We went the another night with my mother-in-law and fiancee. The food was as good as we remember Kavala had, the prices were much more reasonable, while the portions seem to stay the same. The wait staff was great and we look forward to making it a permanent option. We are vegetarian, so having a few other options would help us make it a main stay. The interior lent itself to a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, while still feeling that you were getting value at an affordable price. Looking forward to them getting a larger beer selection when they gain more “club member’s”.
Also, I look forward to them handling bike parking. Right now, they’re not bicycle friendly. If they have plans to remove a parking spot or two, or have identified an area for a larger amount of bike parking, but haven’t gotten that setup yet, then I’ll wait for my judgments.
@Jonathan: Thanks for the update, especially on the lack of bike parking!
I was there last weekend, food and service were great. looking forward to going back and hanging out on their patio.
