Cliff Fest: More Than Just a Taste
The 2nd Annual Cliff Fest: More Than Just a Taste is scheduled for Sunday, November 14, from noon to 6 p.m. Cliff Fest is the one festival each year where we focus solely on what makes Oak Cliff so great: the talent within. This year’s will also take place in the Bishop Arts District. Cliff Fest is a day of local food tasting, local shopping, local performances, and meeting your neighbors!
We are now taking entries! To sell or exhibit your creative wares, we have created simple online registration forms. Registration is open to Oak Cliff-based artists, restaurants, merchants, area non-profits, and service providers, such as insurance agents, attorneys, doctors, and so on. Registration ends October 14. After that, entries will be taken on a space available basis.

Can you give me more information about what organizations will benefit from this event? Where do the proceeds from space rental and such go? Thank you!
Hey, AG! The rental fees are put towards event expenses, such as permitting, insurance, police (9 at $30 per hour), and rental fees for things like a stage, PA’s, toilets, tents, etc. We don’t officially charge admission at most of our events, but we do try to find a fun way to raise a little money for things like the 7th Street Mural Project, the donations to Adamson, Sunset, and Alliance Francaise, and to build a tiny reserve for when we want to do things like Big Table, which has a significant upfront expense.

Just like last year, we are asking for donations for the NTFB. $1 per person- it buys 4 meals for someone in need, and they’re based in Oak Cliff!
